Rescued animals found loving homes as residents supported the Tshwane SPCA through adoptions, donations and a family-friendly day of fun and entertainment.

Everest Wealth teamed up with the Tshwane SPCA’s Waltloo branch to host a Cuddle, Play and Adoption Day, a family-friendly drive to find homes for rescued strays and surrendered animals. The event forms part of Purpose for Paws, the corporate social responsibility project Everest Wealth launched this year.

Visitors were treated to free boerewors rolls, pancakes and coffee, a DJ, jumping castles for the kids and competitions with prizes up for grabs, with donations going to the SPCA. Dogs including Nalu, Kion, Milo, Snowy and Woody were up for adoption alongside a number of cats, and several found their forever families on the day.

“If you look at how many animals are surrendered, they need our help. If we don’t make people aware of these animals, then what will happen to them?” said Stephne Naude, manager of advisory services at Everest Wealth.

Everest Wealth plans to host more SPCA adoption days later this year, along with fundraisers for other organisations.
